Our small restaurant is open for lunch with a light lunch menu.
For dinner, the menu expands, starting from the Tuscan tradition with local, seasonal and first quality raw materials, accompanied by organic vegetables from our garden, all processed, however, with an international flavour.
The choice of veggy and free-from dishes is wide, with attention to all diets and food choices.

Our menus are always accompanied by Icea-certified organic EVO oil, produced in our olive groves, and by a wine list featuring the best local organic wineries in Chianti.

Opening Hours

Breakfast – open daily from 8 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.
Lunch – by reservation Wednesday to Monday from 12.30 to 15.00
Dinner – open Wednesday to Monday from 19.30 to 22.00

The cuisine of Dave Oates: ancient Tuscan food and wine tradition with an international flair.

The cuisine at Podere Castellare is by Dave Oates, a young chef from New Zealand, who has been able to bring a new international approach to our traditional Tuscan dishes.

His decades of experience, first in New Zealand and then in Japan, have allowed him to get to know many different cuisines such as Asian and French, and to bring these contaminations to Italy.

He has been in Florence for a year and now at Podere Castellare, where together we have created a menu that fits in with our philosophy: starting from the ancient Tuscan food and wine tradition, developed and processed with an international flair.
